Senior Controller / CFO – Construction & Materials Division
We are seeking a strategic financial leader to oversee accounting, reporting, and financial operations for a large construction and materials division within a multi-entity organization. This role partners closely with the Division COO and corporate finance team to drive financial discipline, profitability, and operational efficiency across projects, production, equipment, and inventory.
What You’ll Do
- Provide financial leadership and act as a trusted advisor to division leadership.
- Oversee all accounting, job costing, and financial reporting.
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, and capital planning processes.
- Monitor project, plant, and equipment costs to protect margins and optimize ROI.
- Develop and mentor a high-performing finance team.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP, internal controls, and audit requirements.
What We’re Looking For
- 7–10+ years in progressive accounting/finance roles, highway construction, aggregates, asphalt, or related industries.
- Strong expertise in job costing, WIP reporting, inventory, and multi-entity finance.
- Experience leading teams and improving financial processes.
- ERP proficiency (Viewpoint, JD Edwards, SAP, Sage, or similar).
- CPA, CMA, or MBA preferred.
